Dabugaon, Sept 23 [UDN}:A pall of gloom has descended over the Chacharaguda Gram Panchayat area of Dabugaon block following the untimely death of Vidyadhar Majhi, a teacher posted at Banuaguda Primary School.
According to information, Majhi had reached the school at around 10 am and marked his attendance. However, after feeling unwell, he submitted a leave application to the headmaster and also applied for leave through the relevant online portal. He subsequently went to the Dabugaon health centre for medical treatment and returned home after receiving treatment.
After reaching home, he reportedly took some rest but suddenly died. Family members informed the school headmaster about his death, following which the headmaster informed the Block Education Officer about the tragic incident.
As news of the teacher’s sudden demise spread, several teachers, colleagues, students and local residents visited his residence to pay their last respects. Vidyadhar Majhi was known in the locality as a popular, ideal and friendly teacher.
His untimely death has caused deep grief among members of the teaching community, his students and residents of the area. The Block Education Officer also expressed condolences over the tragic incident and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family.
Local residents prayed for the departed teacher’s soul to rest in peace and wished strength and courage for his family to cope with the loss.
