Bhubaneswar, Sept. 29: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, has clarified that the Odisha Secondary School Teachers Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2026 will be conducted as scheduled on September 30, 2026.

The clarification comes amid the circulation of fake news and misleading information on social media regarding the conduct of the examination.
BSE Urges Candidates To Ignore Fake News
In an official statement, the BSE, Odisha, urged candidates and the public not to pay heed to unverified information being circulated regarding the OSSTET 2026 examination.
The Board reiterated that there has been no change in the examination schedule, and the OSSTET 2026 will be held on September 30 as previously announced.
President Issues Video Statement
The President of the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, has also issued a video statement clarifying the matter and appealing to candidates to rely only on official communications from the Board.
Candidates appearing for the examination have been advised to ignore rumours and misleading social media posts and follow the instructions issued by the BSE, Odisha.
The Board has requested candidates to remain alert and obtain examination-related information only through authorised sources to avoid confusion at the last moment.
