Bhubaneswar, Sept 30 [UDN}:The Commissionerate Police held a preparatory meeting at Saheed Bhawan in Cuttack to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the upcoming Durga Puja celebrations and idol immersion procession.
The meeting was chaired by Police Commissioner S. Devadatta Singh and attended by police officials along with members of various peace committees and Durga Puja committees.
During the meeting, discussions focused on maintaining law and order and ensuring proper arrangements for the immersion procession. Puja committees were urged to conduct the Bhasani Yatra in a disciplined and orderly manner and strictly comply with the directions issued by the Odisha High Court.
The police also stressed coordination among the administration, police authorities, peace committees and Puja organisers to ensure that the festivities conclude peacefully and without disruption.
