Bhubaneswar, Sept 30 [UDN}:A coordination meeting involving officials from the Excise, Police and Forest departments was held under the chairmanship of the Koraput Collector to further strengthen the control, monitoring and enforcement mechanisms against narcotic substances and illegal activities in the district.
The meeting focused on improving coordination among the concerned departments through a Multi-Disciplinary Squad. Discussions were held on strengthening field-level surveillance, sharing intelligence and other relevant information, conducting joint enforcement operations and ensuring more effective coordination among the departments.
Officials also discussed ways to make the multi-departmental mechanism more efficient so that illegal activities, particularly those involving narcotic substances, can be identified and acted upon through coordinated efforts.
