Animal Healthcare Services Remain Operational Across Odisha Despite Heavy Rainfall and Adverse Weather

Bhubaneswar,  Oct 5 [UDN}:Despite persistent heavy rainfall across several parts of Odisha, the State Government has continued to prioritise the protection and healthcare of livestock and other animals, ensuring that essential veterinary services remain available in affected and remote areas.

As part of the ongoing efforts to safeguard animal health during the adverse weather conditions, Animal Health Camps are being organised through Mobile Veterinary Units in different districts of the state. These mobile veterinary teams are reaching rural and remote areas to provide necessary veterinary assistance to animals and livestock owners.

According to the information available, veterinary health camps are being conducted in Dasamantapur block of Koraput district, Kalyansinghpur of Rayagada district, Kantamal of Boudh district and Harichandanpur area of Keonjhar district.

The mobile veterinary units are playing an important role in taking animal healthcare services directly to communities, particularly in areas where heavy rainfall and difficult road conditions may affect access to regular veterinary facilities. The camps are aimed at ensuring timely medical attention for animals and helping livestock owners address health-related concerns during the ongoing rainy conditions.

The continued deployment of mobile veterinary services highlights the administration’s focus on maintaining uninterrupted animal healthcare services even during challenging weather situations, with animal welfare being accorded priority across the state.
