Asika,Oct 7 [UDN}:In accordance with Letter No. 15460/DPEO dated August 20, 2026, issued by the District Education Officer, Ganjam, the block-level executive committees of the Junior Red Cross (JRC) and Scouts and Guides have been formed in Dharakote Block.
A meeting to constitute the committees was held at Sri Raj High School in Dharakote on Thursday in the presence of Block Education Officer Sujit Kumar Padhi, Additional Education Officer Sauri Shankar Behera, JRC counsellors, Scout Masters, Guide Captains, and headmasters and headmistresses of high schools and upper primary schools.
The meeting was coordinated by Rashmita Kumari Raul, Block Coordinator of JRC, and Kalucharan Swain, Block Coordinator of Scouts and Guides. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on strengthening the functioning of JRC, Scouts and Guides activities in every school and ensuring their effective implementation at the grassroots level.
A 10-member committee was constituted for JRC, while another 10-member committee was formed for Scouts and Guides. The Block Education Officer advised all newly appointed committee members to discharge their respective responsibilities sincerely and effectively.
The formation of the committees is expected to facilitate better coordination and systematic implementation of JRC, Scout and Guide activities across schools in Dharakote Block.
