Daringsbadi, 3rd December : The Odisha Tourism Department has launched an exciting new Eco Retreat in Daringsbadi, a beautiful hill station known for its natural beauty. To attract more tourists, the state government has made the cottages more affordable and upgraded the amenities, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay.
The Eco Retreat is located on a hill opposite the Daringsbadi Hill View Park, offering breathtaking views that resemble the serene landscapes of Kashmir. During the day, visitors can enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings, while at night, the retreat’s lights create a vibrant atmosphere similar to that of a city. This has already drawn a lot of interest from tourists.
The retreat is easily accessible, situated 260 km from Bhubaneswar, 135 km from Brahmapur, and around 150 km from Muniguda railway station in Rayagada district. Many visitors are traveling to the retreat in their personal vehicles.
Launched this month, the Eco Retreat will remain open until February 28th. According to Kumudini Malik, the District Tourism Officer, the retreat features 25 cottages, including 5 premium and 20 deluxe rooms. Guests can enjoy a variety of activities such as indoor games (table tennis, carom), cycling, trekking, and cultural performances. The retreat also offers a kids’ zone, battery-operated vehicles for easy transportation, and a chance to savor traditional Odia cuisine. This eco-friendly retreat is quickly becoming a popular destination for those seeking both relaxation and adventure in Odisha’s peaceful hills.
