Jayapur Oct 14 [UDN}: In a major boost to passenger comfort and tourism, an additional Vistadome coach will be attached to the Visakhapatnam–Kirandul Passenger train from Tuesday, October 13, allowing passengers to enjoy the breathtaking natural beauty along the railway route in greater comfort. The facility will remain available until October 20, according to information shared by the East Coast Railway on its official social media account on X.

According to railway sources, the decision has been taken in view of the upcoming Dussehra festivities, when passenger traffic is expected to increase significantly. The additional coach aims to help ease overcrowding and provide passengers with a more comfortable and memorable train journey during the festive period.

The additional Vistadome coach will be attached to Train No. 58501, the Visakhapatnam–Kirandul Passenger, which operates during the daytime. Vistadome coaches are specially designed with large glass windows and expansive viewing areas, enabling passengers to enjoy scenic landscapes, lush green forests, hills, valleys and other natural attractions along the route.

The Visakhapatnam–Kirandul railway line is particularly popular among travellers for its picturesque surroundings and scenic journey through the Eastern Ghats. The introduction of an additional Vistadome coach is expected to make the experience more enjoyable for families, tourists and other passengers travelling during the festive season.

The temporary arrangement, effective from October 13 to October 20, is intended to accommodate the anticipated festive rush while improving passenger convenience. It also offers an opportunity for travellers to experience the region’s natural beauty from the comfort of a specially designed coach.

Railway officials expect the initiative to benefit passengers travelling towards the scenic destinations of southern Odisha and the adjoining region during the Dussehra period.
