Bhubaneswar, Oct 15 [UDN}:A special campaign is underway across all blocks of the district to ensure that the electoral rolls are complete, accurate and free from errors, with particular emphasis on including every eligible citizen in the voter list.
As part of the initiative, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have been directed to identify newly eligible young people who have attained the age of 18, along with other eligible citizens whose names were previously left out of the electoral rolls. Special attention is being given to ensuring that all eligible voters are registered and can exercise their constitutional right to vote.
To achieve this objective, BLOs are intensifying door-to-door verification across every Gram Panchayat and village. The campaign aims to identify eligible citizens who are yet to be enrolled, verify voter details and facilitate the inclusion of missing names in the electoral rolls.
The initiative underscores the administration’s commitment to ensuring that no eligible citizen is deprived of the right to vote. Through systematic field-level verification and public awareness, the authorities are working to make the electoral rolls more comprehensive, accurate and inclusive.
The special drive is expected to help newly eligible voters and previously omitted citizens complete the necessary registration process, strengthening democratic participation at the grassroots level.
