Bhubaneswar, Oct 17 [UDN}:Newly elected student representatives from various universities and colleges across Odisha held a courtesy meeting with the state leadership on October 16, 2026, following the successful completion of the student union elections.
During the meeting, the student representatives expressed their confidence in the state government and conveyed their gratitude for ensuring the successful and peaceful conduct of the student union elections across educational institutions in the state.
On the occasion, the newly elected representatives were congratulated on their electoral victories and encouraged to shoulder their responsibilities with sincerity, dedication and a strong commitment to student welfare. They were advised to maintain a healthy academic atmosphere on their respective campuses and work towards strengthening a peaceful, constructive and student-friendly educational environment.
The representatives were also urged to rise above party affiliations and political differences while addressing the concerns and grievances of all students. Emphasising the importance of inclusive leadership, they were encouraged to ensure that every student receives proper attention and that issues affecting the student community are addressed fairly and responsibly.
