Bhubaneswar, Oct 29 [UDN}: With a commitment to strengthening social security, financial assistance amounting to ₹1,53,428 crore has been approved for the period from 2026–27 to 2030–31.
The assistance will focus on:
* Pensions for persons with disabilities, senior citizens and widows.
* Direct financial assistance to families in need.
* Strengthening social protection and ensuring financial support for vulnerable sections of society.
