Bhubaneswar, Oct 30 (UDN): The Odisha Law Minister reviewed the progress of the queue-based darshan system at the sacred Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri, with the objective of making the darshan of Lord Jagannath and the other presiding deities more convenient, orderly, and hassle-free for devotees. The review focused on the progress of the arrangements introduced to streamline the movement of devotees, improve crowd management, and ensure a smoother and more comfortable pilgrimage experience for thousands of people visiting the temple every day. The initiative aims to strengthen the existing darshan management system, reduce congestion, facilitate the systematic movement of devotees through designated queues, and ensure that pilgrims can have a more organised and peaceful darshan of the Holy Trinity. The review also underlined the importance of effective coordination among the concerned authorities and temple administration to ensure that the queue-based system functions efficiently, particularly during periods of heavy footfall and major religious occasions. The efforts are aimed at enhancing facilities for devotees while maintaining the sanctity, discipline, and traditional significance of the centuries-old Shree Jagannath Temple.
