Floodwaters Submerge NH-16 in Ganjam, Disrupt Traffic

Bhubaneswar,  Oct 31 (UDN):   Floodwaters from the Bahuda River have inundated a stretch of National Highway-16 near Berhampur in Ganjam district, bringing road connectivity between Odisha and Andhra Pradesh to a complete standstill.

According to reports, floodwater is still flowing across NH-16, approximately 8 kilometres from Ichchapuram, disrupting vehicular movement between the two neighbouring states. Thousands of trucks and other heavy vehicles have been stranded along the national highway, causing major inconvenience to commuters and transport operators.

The situation remains critical as the continuing flow of floodwater has prevented normal traffic movement, leaving the Odisha–Andhra Pradesh road connection disrupted.
