No Postponement of OPSC Exams, Confirms Revenue Minister

Bhubaneswar,  Oct 31 (UDN):   Odisha Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari has clarified that the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) examination will not be postponed despite the difficulties caused by Cyclone Arnab and heavy rainfall in several parts of the state.

The Minister stated that postponing the examination at this stage would create significant logistical challenges, as rescheduling it would require approximately six months to make fresh arrangements and conduct the examination again.

He informed that around 325 candidates are from Ganjam district, while approximately 100 candidates belong to other cyclone- and rain-affected areas.

To ensure that no candidate misses the examination due to transportation difficulties, the responsibility of arranging transportation and safely taking all candidates to their respective examination centres has been assigned to the Block Development Officers (BDOs).

The government has directed the concerned officials to make necessary arrangements so that all candidates from affected areas can appear for the examination without facing difficulties.
