Bhubaneswar,   Nov  1 (UDN):  Participating in the 18th Employment Fair held in Bhubaneswar today, appointment letters were distributed to 2,067 newly recruited employees for schools functioning under the Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes Development Department. With this latest recruitment drive, the state government has filled more than 48,600 government vacancies since June 2024, when the continuous recruitment process was initiated, empowering thousands of young people and helping them fulfil their career aspirations.

Providing quality education in the mother tongue to children in tribal areas and ensuring their integration into the mainstream of society remain among the top priorities of the state government. Emphasising the importance of education, it was stated that having personally served as a teacher, the responsibility of shaping young minds and building a better future for children is deeply understood.

The newly appointed employees were reminded that they are not merely government servants but also important contributors to nation-building and institutions responsible for shaping the future of countless children. They were urged to create a friendly and encouraging learning environment by filling children’s minds with love and self-confidence rather than fear.

The new recruits were also advised to maintain discipline, dedication to duty, punctuality and honesty while discharging their professional responsibilities. Special emphasis was placed on their role in strengthening the quality of education and ensuring equal learning opportunities for children from tribal and disadvantaged communities.

Furthermore, all newly appointed employees who are to be deployed in flood-affected areas following Cyclone ‘Arnab’ were urged to dedicate themselves to serving affected people and extend every possible assistance to those facing difficulties in the aftermath of the disaster.

Concluding the programme, best wishes were extended to all the newly recruited employees for a successful, meaningful and inspiring professional journey, while expressing confidence that their contributions would strengthen education and public service across Odisha.
