Bhubaneswar, January 3: Odisha is currently experiencing a cold wave, with temperatures dipping below 10°C in several parts of the state. On Thursday, Raurkela recorded the lowest temperature at 7°C, while other regions like Jharasuguda, Kendujhar, and Dhenkanal saw temperatures around 8°C to 10°C.
The Regional Meteorological Centre has issued a yellow warning for dense fog in areas such as Anugul, Kandhamal, and Dhenkanal, advising residents to be cautious as visibility may fall to below 200 meters.
In Bhubaneswar, the temperature dropped by 4.8°C over the past two days, from 19.4°C on December 30 to 14.6°C on Thursday. Despite the chill, Paralakhemundi recorded the highest temperature of 31.6°C. The cold conditions are expected to continue in the coming days.
