Heat Wave Hits Odisha in February

Bhubaneswar, Feb 6: Odisha is currently facing a heat wave, with temperatures soaring across the state this February. Many cities have recorded temperatures above 35°C. The heat intensified after morning fog, with the temperature rising steadily as the day progressed.

According to the regional meteorological department, the hot weather will continue for the next 4 to 5 days, with no significant changes expected. On February 7, cities like Cuttack, Khordha, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Nayagarh, and Ganjam are anticipated to experience dense fog.

Malakangiri and Bolangir have recorded the highest temperatures, reaching 36°C, while other areas such as Sambalpur, Hirakud, and Jharsuguda have seen temperatures close to 35.9°C. The heat wave is causing discomfort to residents, as the state braces for more warm days in the coming days.
