Bhubaneswar, Feb 25: IIT-Bhubaneswar has signed an MoU with Ramco Cements to establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) focused on sustainable construction and climate resiliency. The Ramco Sustainable Construction and Climate Resiliency Centre (RAMSCON) will conduct research on eco-friendly construction materials and techniques aimed at improving climate resilience.
The collaboration will develop advanced concrete solutions that enhance durability and efficiency, aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). IIT-Bhubaneswar Director Shreepad Karmalkar stated that the partnership will strengthen industry-academia collaboration in sustainable construction practices. Ramco officials believe the initiative will drive significant advancements in the sector.
