New Delhi, Apr 10: BC Jindal Foundation, the CSR wing of one of India’s leading business conglomerates, the BC Jindal Group, has announced that it will increase its investment to Rs 16 crore in FY 2026-27 from Rs 7 crore in 2025-26 to strengthen healthcare accessibility and affordability in India. Through this initiative, the Foundation aims to scale infrastructure, increase patient capacity, and expand access to highly subsidized dialysis and specialized diagnostic testing in high-need regions across the country.
The BC Jindal Group, led by Shyam Sunder Jindal, Promoter BC Jindal Group, through its foundation’s healthcare network, has impacted more than 6 lakh beneficiaries in the last five years, with the network serving 1.60 lakh individuals in FY 2025-26 alone. The clinical mandate covers specialties including general medicine, nephrology, gynaecology, ophthalmology, paediatrics, dental, and physiotherapy, supported by advanced units for dialysis, X-ray, ultrasound, and pathology. Beyond clinical care, the BCJF Skill program trains youth as general duty assistants and phlebotomy assistants, strengthening healthcare delivery and local livelihoods simultaneously.
The foundation’s internal impact evaluations, including studies conducted in Derang Village in Odisha, reveal that BCJF initiatives have become a primary healthcare lifeline, with 64% of respondents identifying these centres as their preferred providers. In the Belur region of West Bengal, the BCJ Health Centre has emerged as the choice for 82% of visitors, with 96.9% reporting a notable reduction in health-related expenses and 56.6% seeing significant health improvements. Assessments of the foundation’s flagship project at Civil Lines in Delhi further highlight the impact of the initiative, showing a consistent surge in footfall that fills the gap for those struggling with expensive private care. Overall, 82% of beneficiaries reported significantly improved health outcomes, with 96% confirming services are well within their financial reach.
“Approximately 70% of India’s population resides in areas where infrastructure gaps and rising costs often hinder access to quality medical care. The BC Jindal Foundation (BCJF) is directly addressing these challenges by expanding a robust healthcare ecosystem for underserved communities. By providing high-quality medical services at minimal cost, the Foundation ensures that quality treatment remains a fundamental right rather than a privilege for both urban and rural populations,” said a BC Jindal Group spokesperson.
Over the past five years, the BC Jindal Group, through its foundation, has maintained a steadfast financial commitment to these healthcare initiatives, contributing to a total spend of approximately Rs. 23 Crore during the period.
“The Foundation’s integrated model combines clinical excellence with aggressive community outreach, including awareness sessions and specialized screening camps for early disease detection, deeply aligning with Sustainable Development Goals for health, education, and economic growth,” the spokesperson added.
During FY26, the BC Jindal Group had invested a total of Rs 40 crore in various CSR projects across India. Through this, the foundation plans to focus on improving healthcare, skill development, animal welfare, and nutrition by expanding its ongoing initiatives and introducing new projects under its CSR program. The BC Jindal Group plans to intensify its CSR operations in the states of Delhi, West Bengal, Haryana, and Maharashtra, among others.
