19th November 2024: On the third day of his four-day visit to Singapore, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, accompanied by a delegation, visited the Institute of Technical Education and Educational Services (ITEES). During the visit, the Chief Minister, along with ITEES CEO Suresh Natarajan, met with Odia students undergoing skill training at the institute.

This visit marks CM Majhi’s first international trip since taking office in June. It is part of the Odisha government’s outreach efforts ahead of the 2025 Utkarsh Odisha Global Investors Summit, scheduled for January 2025. The focus is to position Odisha as a top investment destination and promote its growing skill development initiatives.
ITEES, a global leader in vocational education and training, has been collaborating with Odisha since 2017. The partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to enhance Odisha’s technical and vocational education standards. It also provides consultancy support to the Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA), which spearheads skill training in the state.
During discussions, the delegation emphasized Odisha’s progress in becoming the “Skill Capital of India,” with the “Skilled in Odisha” initiative setting new benchmarks in national skill development and empowering the state’s youth for global employment opportunities.
