13th February 2025: AIIMS-Bhubaneswar has formed a collaboration with Marcus Wagstaff, a leading burns care expert from the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Australia, to enhance burn injury treatment. Wagstaff’s visit to the institute’s Burn Centre marks the beginning of a partnership focused on advancing burn care through research, new technologies, and improved medical techniques.
Welcomed by Executive Director Ashutosh Biswas, Wagstaff discussed strategies for integrating advanced care protocols and joint research projects aimed at improving patient outcomes. The collaboration aims to set new standards in burn treatment, benefiting patients globally.
The partnership emphasizes the importance of international collaboration in burn care, aiming for long-term improvements in patient rehabilitation and treatment.
