Puri Launches Advanced Digital Health ATM to Boost Rural Healthcare

Puri, May 22 – In a significant move to enhance rural healthcare services, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida inaugurated an advanced digital Health ATM at the Nimapada Community Health Centre (CHC) on Wednesday.

This state-of-the-art digital health kiosk, introduced by a private organization, aims to provide affordable and quick diagnostic services in remote and underserved areas. The Health ATM allows residents of nearby villages to conduct basic health checkups and over 100 essential medical tests, including blood sugar, blood pressure, ECG, and oxygen levels, with fast result generation.

Speaking at the launch, Parida highlighted that the facility marks a new era in primary healthcare, helping to bridge the healthcare gap between urban and rural areas. She emphasized the importance of empowering rural communities with the tools to monitor and manage their health regularly.

The Health ATM is also expected to reduce the pressure on hospitals by enabling patients to conduct preliminary screenings, with reports aiding healthcare professionals in providing timely advice.
