Malkangiri, 27th Oct 2025: The Malkangiri branch of State Bank of India has disbursed an insurance amount of ₹40,00,000 at the Office of the Superintendent of Police. The chief guest of the event was Superintendent of Police Binod Patil, who handed over the cheque to Mrs. Kusuma Dora, spouse of the late Budra Dora.
It is reported that Budra Dora, a police constable, tragically died in an accident. At the time, he held a police salary account with State Bank of India. Accordingly, the bank provided ₹40,00,000 as an accident insurance payout. Under the bank’s scheme, the insurance coverage is ₹1 crore for accidental death and ₹10 lakh for natural death.
The event was organized by Binod Kumar Bishoyi, Manager of SBI Malkangiri Branch, and was successfully conducted with the presence of LDM Chakradhar Nayak and Manager Soumya Ranjan Behera.
