Adarsha Abhilash Earns Praise for His Distinctive Artistic Style

Jeypore,18th Oct 2025:  : He wasn’t even two years old when he first took part in a fancy dress competition, dressed as a tribal woman, and received much praise. After that initial success, he was later recognized as a child theatre artist by the All India Radio (AIR) center in Jaypur. Today, he is known as a child playback singer. This exceptionally talented young artist is Adarsha Abhilash Palei, a Class 10 student at Sharada Bihar Shishu Vidyamandir.

Despite his young age, Adarsha has participated in over 50 fancy dress competitions and has been awarded multiple times by the local Sub-Collector. From cultural figures like Barnali Hota to renowned artists like Prashant Nanda, he has had the opportunity to interact with and be mentored by many prominent personalities, helping refine the God-gifted talent within him.

He received his initial training in the arts from his first guru, his mother, Kavita Manjari Palei. He later received classical music training from Subal Bala, a musician from Nagpur. Other notable mentors include music expert Dhiren Mohan Pattnayak, AIR coordinator Bijay Kumar Samantaray, and veteran artist Ashok Maharana. With their guidance and blessings, Adarsha is steadily working towards establishing himself in the world of performing arts.

Adarsha began learning music from his mother, but deepened his knowledge of classical music under expert guidance. As an AIR-approved child drama artist, he has acted in many plays. His acting is noted for its realism and emotional depth. He has had the opportunity to perform with several distinguished AIR artists.

His first recorded Ganesh Vandana (devotional song) went viral on YouTube. This year, the devotional song “Bolbam Gupteswar”, released with the vocals of Mrutyunjay Sethi and music direction/editing by the renowned musician Lalu Mishra, gained significant popularity. He has participated and won awards in various school, block, and district-level competitions. He sings in Odia, Hindi, and regional folk languages.

Looking ahead, Adarsha aims to promote the rich cultural heritage and traditions of Koraput district. He aspires to first become an AIR-approved playback singer and eventually a leading commercial vocalist. His mother is a presenter at AIR and his father is a well-known poet. With grandparents and elders also hailing from Bhanjamati—a land known for literary and cultural significance—Adarsha believes he is especially blessed by Goddess Saraswati. He humbly considers this divine favor to be his greatest fortune.
