Administrative Machinery Mobilized in Malkangiri with Launch of Training Camp for Census–2027 Field Staff

Malkangiri, Mar, 25:: Preparations have begun in full swing under the supervision of Malkangiri District Collector Prathmesh Arvind Rajshirkhe to ensure the successful conduct of the country’s first fully digital Census–2027.
In this regard, the first batch of training for Enumerators and Supervisors under Malkangiri Tahasil (Rural) was successfully completed today at the Malkangiri Nodal High School premises.
The training programme was inaugurated by Additional District Magistrate (Revenue) Bedabar Pradhan. District Census Officer Muna Turuk and Malkangiri Tahasildar Bishwaranjan Biswas were present and guided the trainees.
Field trainers Bhagyaranjan Lenka and Haraprasad Mohapatra provided detailed technical training on digital data collection through a mobile application.
It is noteworthy that a total of 1,269 enumerators and 227 supervisors have been appointed across Malkangiri district for the census work. While the training process has begun for Malkangiri Tahasil today, similar training programmes for other tahasils of the district will continue in phases until April 6.
From April 1 to April 15, citizens will be able to self-register their information on the designated portal.
From April 16 to May 15, trained enumerators will visit households to collect data digitally. This time, there will be no paperwork; all data will be collected through a dedicated mobile application.
Through the message “Our Census, Our Development,” the administration has appealed to the public to provide accurate and unbiased information to contribute to nation-building. The dignitaries emphasized that accurate census data will play a crucial role in planning and implementing education, health, and social welfare schemes in the district.
