The Security Division of the Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued an advisory with immediate instructions to tighten airport security across the country. They advisory calls for urgent implementation of enhanced security protocols.
The BCAS advisory was issued after intelligence sources reported suspicious activities linked to Pakistani terror groups. The directive includes collaboration with local police, the Intelligence Bureau (IB), and other key agencies to ensure strict preventive actions are taken.
To counter the threat of terrorist attacks, BCAS has instructed all aviation stakeholders to remain vigilant. All security personnel deployed at aviation facilities have been asked to remain on 24-hour high alert. Additionally, airport staff and contractors are to have their ID cards strictly verified as part of these heightened precautions.
