
Bhawanipatna, 3rd December: Aniruddha Naik, a young researcher from Kalahandi, has recently made a significant impact at an international conference in Japan. He presented his research paper titled “Beyond Eurocentrism: A Global Sociology through India’s Lens” at the 50th Annual Conference of the Japan Sociological Society (JSS) held at Kaito Sangyo University.
His paper, which explored global sociology through an Indian perspective, was highly praised by the experts and scholars present at the event. As a result of his impressive work, Aniruddha was honored with the prestigious Travel Award by the Japan Sociological Society. Notably, he was the only student from India to be invited to this esteemed gathering.
Currently pursuing his PhD in Sociology at the University of Hyderabad, Aniruddha’s achievement has brought him widespread recognition. He has received numerous congratulations from various communities in his home district of Kalahandi.
Aniruddha is the son of Padmakeshari Naik, and hails from the village of Nuaguda in the Junagarh block of Kalahandi. This accomplishment is a proud moment for both his family and the district, showcasing the talent and potential emerging from rural India.
