Annual Day Celebrated at Bhursi Upper Primary School After Five Decades

Kotpad, Feb 21: The annual function of Bhursi Upper Primary School was celebrated after a gap of 52 years at the school campus under Damana Handi Panchayat in Kotpad Block of Koraput district.

The program was conducted under the chairmanship of Headmaster Prashant Kumar Sahu. The MLA’s representative for Kotpad constituency, Binayak Acharya, attended as the chief guest. Additional Block Education Officer Banchhanidhi Harijan joined as the chief speaker, along with MLA representative Suren Mahanti. Other distinguished guests included Damana Handi Panchayat Sarpanch Dina Mani Randhari, retired teacher Balaji Nayak, teacher Dambaru Harijan, supply assistant Prashant Panda, M.D. Salim, and School Committee President Dhansingh Pujari.

The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp before Lord Jagannath. Teacher Suchimita Srichandan presented the annual report. The stage proceedings were conducted by teacher Rudra Narayan Brahma.
Students who showed outstanding performance in various competitions were awarded prizes by the guests.

Successful participants of the annual sports events of the current year were also honored.
The celebration concluded with cultural programs presented by the students. Teacher Madan Raut delivered the vote of thanks. All teachers, staff members, and parents were present on the occasion.
Headmaster Prashant Kumar Sahu thanked all guests, parents, villagers, and students for their support and announced that the annual function will now be organized every year.
