Awareness Drive on Women’s Rights Held in Nabarangpur, Clothes Distributed to Beneficiaries

Nabarangpur , Nov 28:  Under the aegis of the district’s leading women’s organization, Nari Shakti, an awareness meeting was organized in Behera Guda village. Alongside the meeting, winter clothes and garments were distributed to mothers, sisters, children, and people in need. The program focused on raising awareness about the need to prevent child marriage, abstain from intoxicants, and the importance of education for all.

Mothers, sisters, and children present were informed about the various adverse effects of child marriage, and parents were advised to marry their daughters only at the legally prescribed age. Heads of households or other family members were counseled on the harmful effects of alcohol, tobacco, and other intoxicants, and encouraged to refrain from their use.

The organizers emphasized that education is key to building a better life, and all children were urged to attend school regularly and continue their studies.

Among those present were: Treasurer Manorama Majhi, President Swarsha Lata Patnaik, Vice President Sophia Begum, Legal Advisor Ram Prasad Patra, Co-editor Sama Ahmad, Durga Prasad Padhi, Babita Sahu, and Sakila Begum, who all delivered awareness messages to the attendees.
