Umerkote ,22nd Aug 2025:As part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the Umerkote unit of the BJP conducted a cleanliness drive at various locations across the town with the participation of party workers.
As per the Central Government’s directives, since August is observed as the Month of Revolution with Independence Day being celebrated, programmes have been scheduled from August 10 to 14. These include Swachh Bharat campaign, Tiranga Yatra, Har Ghar Tiranga, and Partition Horrors Remembrance Day. Instructions have been given to observe these programmes at the state, district, assembly constituency, and mandal levels.
On this occasion, in the presence of Hon’ble Minister Shri Nityananda Gond, cleanliness activities were carried out at places in Umerkote town where statues of great personalities have been installed.
The event saw the participation of State Secretary Ramesh Chandra Sahu, Minister’s Representative Ashok Kumar Padhi, MP Representative Ram Nayak, Municipality Chairperson Santosh Sharma, Municipal General Secretary Prabhat Kumar Nayak, District Mahila General Secretary Mandira Nayak, Pradeep Mishra, Santosh Sarkar, Dukalu Meher, Ram Gond, Laxmikant Patnaik, Shankar Mepsi, Akshay Sahu, Ajay Pani, Jati Patnaik, Siddharth Patnaik, Shukesh Sarkar, Abhiram Das, Milu Satya Behera, Srinivasi Murti, Tinku Bhai, Har Prasad Panigrahi, and many other town BJP workers.
