Boosting Investment Requires Better Infrastructure, Says Minister at CREDAI Meet

Bhubaneswar, Dec, 08: At a ceremony organized here on Tuesday by the Bhubaneswar chapter of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI), the newly elected office-bearers formally assumed their responsibilities. Sheikh Mairajul Haq took oath as the new president of CREDAI Bhubaneswar and stated that dedicated efforts would be made for the growth of the organization.

Former Minister Prithviraj Harichandan said that within the next 3 to 4 years, the government plans to develop 10 lakh (1 million) square meters of infrastructure for the expansion of the IT sector. He added that the government’s proposal to construct 20 new roads will help reduce traffic congestion in the city. He stressed that investment will come only through infrastructure development.

Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari said that from December onward, issues related to apartments and land disputes will be resolved. MLA Babu Singh and MLA Sophia Firdaus were also present.

Among others present were Vice Presidents Sarat Kumar Sahu, Manoj Kumar Sahu (Secretary), Kalinga Keshari Rath (Joint Secretary), Saubhagya Sundar Raut, Naval Mahajan, and Manmohan Agrawala (Treasurer). Other notable members of the managing committee included Shashi Shekhar Gadababu, Abhay Kumar Panda, Aditya Das, Manas Kumar Behera, and Ashwini Kumar Padhi.

Founder member of CREDAI Odisha, Madhu Mahanti, administered the oath. Outgoing President of CREDAI Odisha Swades Kumar Rautaray and President-elect Umashankar Panigrahi were also present.
