Bhubaneswar, 8th Aug 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has once again made it mandatory for students of Classes 10 and 12 to maintain at least 75 Percent attendance in order to be eligible to appear for the board exams.
This rule will be strictly enforced for the 2025–26 academic session, and all CBSE-affiliated schools have been instructed to ensure strict compliance.
According to the CBSE, students who are absent from school due to health issues or other emergencies must submit valid documentary proof justifying their absence.
CBSE has also urged parents to stay alert and ensure their children maintain regular attendance, as falling short of the 75% attendance requirement will make students ineligible for the board examinations.
