Bhubaneswar, July 10 (UDN): A 15-year-old Class X student from Bhubaneswar has been missing for the past 10 days, prompting an intensive search by the Commissionerate Police and an emotional appeal from his family for information about his whereabouts.
The missing teenager has been identified as Priyanshu Behera, a resident of the Bermunda area. According to his family, he went missing on June 30 while returning home with his mother after attending tuition classes.
Police investigations have revealed CCTV footage showing Priyanshu boarding an Ama Bus from CRP Square and travelling to Master Canteen Square. While he was seen getting off the bus at Master Canteen, there has been no trace of him since, leaving investigators with no confirmed leads beyond that point.
A missing person complaint has been registered at Bharatpur Police Station, and efforts are underway to trace the student. Police are examining CCTV footage from multiple locations and following up on available leads to establish his movements after he alighted from the bus.
According to family members, Priyanshu unexpectedly walked away while returning from tuition with his mother. They said there had been no family dispute or other apparent reason for him to leave home. His mother stated that the family had only been encouraging him to focus on his studies and that he had never shown signs of wanting to run away.
With no breakthrough even after several days, Priyanshu’s parents have appealed to the public to assist in the search. They have urged anyone who may have seen the teenager or has information about his whereabouts to immediately contact the nearest police station or Bharatpur Police.
The family continues to hope for his safe return as the search operation enters its second week.
