Community Gathers to Honor Late Social Worker Dhaneswar Behera at Memorial Meeting

Asurali,May 05:: A memorial meeting was held on the 11th-day ritual (Ekadasha) of late Dhaneswar Behera, a retired postal department employee and a well-known social worker of the area under Kothar Panchayat.
The meeting was organized under the coordination of Professor Rabindra Panigrahi. At the beginning, Biswajit Sahu paid tribute by singing a condolence song, praying for the peace of the departed soul.
On this occasion, Behera’s three granddaughters—Rudrani, Shubhadarshini, and Indrani—performed a group song dedicated to their beloved grandfather, which deeply moved everyone present.
Several dignitaries including Badal Sikdar, Bishnu Charan Mohanty, Bijay Das, Makhanlal Gupta, Satyasundar Padhi, Bijay Sahu, and Professor Sridhar Sahu attended as guests and paid heartfelt tributes, highlighting the late Behera’s social service and simple lifestyle.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by his son, Prashant Behera.
