Malkangiri:Feb, 25: Under the direction of District Collector Somesh Kumar Upadhyay, a district-level skill training workshop was conducted at the local FLC Conference Hall under the Kishori Balika Atmika Programme, with the support of the District Social Welfare Officer.
The workshop was inaugurated in the presence of Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Somnath Pradhan, District Social Welfare Officer Gouri Nayak, and Protection Officer T. Jayalakshmi.
To empower adolescents, various skill-based training sessions were organized, including financial literacy, cyber security, and communication skills. The training was conducted by District Coordinator Meenakshi Pradhan.
Sessions on soft skills and computer-related education were delivered by Manas Ranjan Senapati and Shuddhi Ranjan Sikdar from the Education Department. Information on self-employment and livelihood opportunities was provided by DPC Mission Shakti Harshanand Pradhan.
Ashish Panda educated the participants about savings, investment, and various insurance schemes.
A total of 80 participants—including adolescent girls and boys, Anganwadi workers, and supervisors from various child development projects—attended the program and received training. At the end of the workshop, certificates were distributed to all participants.
The program was organized by the District Women Empowerment Hub officials. District Coordinator Mrs. Pradhan managed the event, and the Protection Officer delivered the vote of thanks at the conclusion.
