Nabarangpur, Jan, 22: A preparatory meeting for the District-Level Employment Fair 2025–26 was held today at the local OSWAN VC Hall, under the chairmanship of District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain.
During the meeting, District Skill Development and Employment Officer Anand Chandra Palai provided detailed information about the employment fair. It was informed that more than 15 project implementing agencies and over 30 employers will participate in the fair.
As per the decision taken in the meeting, the employment fair will be organized on February 4, 2026, at the playground of Raja Chaitanya Dev High School. It is expected that more than 1,000 job-seeking youths, both male and female, will participate in the event.
For the convenience of job aspirants coming from remote areas, the Regional Transport Office (RTO) has been assigned the responsibility of arranging transportation facilities.
The District Collector directed the Block Development Officers, District Education Officer, District Labour Officer, principals of degree colleges, and the District
nformation and Public Relations Officer to ensure wide publicity of the programme. He also instructed the District Skill Development and Employment Officer to supply publicity materials to all Block Development Officers at the earliest.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Magistrate (Revenue) Biswajit Barman, Chief Development Officer and Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad Biranchi Narayan Darwan, among others. District-level officers joined the meeting virtually.
