Lakhanpur, July 11 [UDN}: Jharsuguda District Collector Gunal Motiram Nahan visited Lakhanpur today and shared the mid-day meal with school students as part of his field visit.
The District Collector first visited the Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya located at Bandipahad village in Lakhanpur. During his visit, he inspected the science laboratory and interacted with the students to understand their academic environment and facilities. He encouraged the students to study harder and strive for excellence in their education.
He also instructed teachers to give special attention to the safety of students during their daily commute to and from school. Noticing the lack of mobile network connectivity in the area, he directed local BSNL officials to take necessary steps to resolve the issue.
Later, the District Collector visited the Lakhanpur Community Health Centre and reviewed the healthcare services being provided there. At the time of his visit, around 75 patients were present in the OPD for treatment. He instructed the Chief Medical Officer to ensure proper patient care and improve hospital management and maintenance.
He further reviewed facilities such as the X-ray unit, labour room, sanitation arrangements, and the construction work of new hospital buildings. The District Collector emphasized maintaining cleanliness and improving healthcare infrastructure.
Finally, he visited the Government High School at Lakhanpur Panchayat, where he inspected the school building, reviewed teachers’ attendance and teaching activities, and interacted with the students. He also sat with the children and shared their mid-day meal, which included rice, egg curry, and vegetables.
During the interaction, he advised students to remain focused on their studies and work hard towards achieving their goals.
On this occasion, BDO Binay Kumar Patei, BEO Rajendra Prasad Sahu, and several other officials accompanied the District Collector during the visit.
