District-Level Martyrdom Day of Laxman Nayak Observed in Malkangiri, Honouring the Sacrifice of a True Patriot

Malkangiri, April 06:: The district-level martyrdom day of the great freedom fighter Shaheed Laxman Nayak was observed with deep respect at the premises of Malkangiri College. The program was conducted under the अध्यक्षship of District Information and Public Relations Officer Pramila Majhi.
The Additional District Magistrate (Revenue), Bedabar Pradhan, attended the event as the chief guest. At the beginning of the program, the guests paid floral tributes to the statue of Laxman Nayak located on the college campus.
In his address, the Additional District Magistrate emphasized the need for people to understand the history of their own region. He urged everyone to abandon backward mindsets and draw inspiration from the ideals of Shaheed Laxman Nayak.
Among the distinguished guests, District Education Officer Chittaranjan Panigrahi stated that Laxman Nayak’s sacrifice is not just a page in history, but a shining example of patriotism and courage for students. He encouraged students to learn from Nayak’s life and become responsible towards society.
College Principal Dr. Chittaranjan Barik, in his speech, said that remembering such a great son of the soil of Malkangiri is a matter of pride for all. He added that along with education, students should develop humanity and take a pledge to contribute to their motherland, which would be the true tribute to the martyr.
On this occasion, Dr. Ranjan Swain, senior journalist Radhakara Das, staff members of the District Information and Public Relations Department, faculty members, and a large number of students were present.
