During the visit to different tourist spots in Jharsuguda district, the Tourism Secretary emphasized the importance of improving facilities, promoting local attractions, and boosting tourism-related economic activities.

Jharsuguda, June 5:: To promote tourism development and preserve heritage in Jharsuguda district, Odisha Government’s Tourism Department Commissioner-cum-Secretary Sachin Balwant Singh visited several major tourist destinations in the district. During the visit, Jharsuguda Collector Kunal Motiram Chavan and senior officials from various departments were also present.
In the first phase of the visit, Secretary Mr. Singh inspected the MCL Eco Park located in Brajarajnagar and reviewed its progress. He emphasized the expansion of the MCL Mining Museum situated within the park premises. In particular, he suggested creating a special arrangement for tourists to experience and explore underground mining activities. He informed that the second phase expansion work of the project would begin very soon.

Afterwards, he visited the famous Maa Ramchandi Temple situated at the confluence of the Ib and Vedan rivers. The spiritual site, which falls under Brajarajnagar Municipality, was thoroughly inspected with regard to its future development plans. Keeping in mind the needs of tourists and the growth of local tourism industries, he instructed officials to improve the necessary infrastructure facilities.

In the final phase of the tour, the Secretary visited Guja Hill and the popular picnic spot Rampaluga. For the beautification and overall development of these scenic places, he held discussions with local residents, temple trustees, and other stakeholders.

During the visit, Brajarajnagar Municipality Executive Officer Chandramani Swain, MCL General Manager A.K. Namjoshi, R&B Department SDO Surath Nayak, and temple trustee Dilip Agrawal, among others, were present.
