e-KYC Gap: 8 Percent Beneficiaries Miss Out as Registration Period Closes

Nabarangpur, 16th Aug 2025: In Nabarangpur district, 92% of e-KYC updates have been completed. Out of a total of 10,47,743 eligible beneficiaries, 9,68,550 have updated their e-KYC, while 79,193 beneficiaries are yet to complete the process.

During his visit to Nabarangpur district, the Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister announced a three-month deadline. He stated that if any beneficiary fails to complete e-KYC within this period, their ration card will be cancelled in the future. Despite this warning, many beneficiaries remain indifferent.

In Kosagumuda block, 11,522 out of 1,43,182 beneficiaries have not completed e-KYC. Similarly, in Dabugam, 4,541 out of 58,482; in Jharigaon, 12,188 out of 1,27,703; in Nabarangpur block, 4,042 out of 69,458; in Nabarangpur Municipality, 1,297 out of 16,570; in Nandahandi, 3,846 out of 53,199; in Papadahandi, 6,903 out of 1,19,020; in Raighar, 11,604 out of 1,59,988; in Tentulikhunti, 5,812 out of 70,745; in Chandahandi, 4,097 out of 65,325; in Umerkote block, 11,254 out of 1,46,355; and in Umerkote Municipality, 1,287 out of 17,000 beneficiaries have yet to update their e-KYC.
