Nabarangpur: Sept 11 [UDN}:he installation ceremony of the newly elected office-bearers of the Nabarangpur Lions Club, under Lions District 322C4, was held today at the local Tripti Conference Hall.
Prominent social worker of Nabarangpur district, Jagannath Mohapatra, was once again unanimously selected as the President of the Nabarangpur Lions Club for the eighth time. Lion Bhuvaneswar Sur was appointed as the Secretary, while Lion P. Sekhar Kumar and Lion Nandikeswar Rao were selected as Vice-Presidents. Lion Vijay Jain was unanimously appointed as the Treasurer.
For the Lions Year 2026–27, the newly appointed office-bearers were administered the oath of office and secrecy by Lion Hemant Kumar Khuntia, IPDG of District 322C4.
The oath-taking ceremony was held in the presence of former District Governor Lion Dilip Kumar Das, Regional Chairman Lion Dr. Samjukta Panda, charter member of the organisation Lion Dr. Dhananjay Pattnaik, Lion Bhuvaneswar Sur, Lion P. L. Murthy and several other distinguished members.
On the occasion, the newly elected President, Lion Jagannath Mohapatra, expressed his happiness and gratitude. He said that serving as the President of an international organisation such as the Lions Club was a matter of great pride and good fortune for him. He sincerely thanked all the members of the club for unanimously electing him as President for the eighth time.
Mohapatra further stated that such an important responsibility would inspire and motivate him to work even more actively for society. He expressed his commitment to dedicating himself to social service and continuing such work for the welfare of people throughout his life.
It may be noted that every year the Lions Club organises several social welfare activities, including tree plantation drives, health camps, distribution of food packets and assistance to economically disadvantaged people. Through its continuous humanitarian and welfare initiatives, the organisation has established itself as one of the prominent and respected social service institutions in the city.
Senior members of the organisation, including Lion Papu Jain, Lion Vijay Jain, Lion Ravi Reddy, Srikant Mahanti, Lion Akhil Kumar Bhatt, Pintu Panda, Nandikeswar Rao, DMP Das, Lion Birendra Nayak, Lion Dinesh Jain and many other members, were present and participated in the programme.
On behalf of the members of the Ame Nabarangpuria Family, heartfelt gratitude and congratulations were extended to Jagannath Mohapatra and the newly appointed office-bearers.
