Eternal Flame Glows Before Saint Bhima Bhoi’s Statue in Redhakhol

Redhakhol,2nd Aug 2025: An uninterrupted ceremonial lamp (Akhand Deepa) was lit on Thursday before the statue of Saint-Poet Bhima Bhoi in Redhakhol town of Sambalpur district. The event was held with full spiritual rituals by followers of Mahima Dharma, under the guidance of Brahma Avadhoot Anand Chandra Baba of the Bhima Bhoi Mahima Ashram.

The continuous lighting of the lamp symbolizes eternal reverence, and the flame is being maintained without interruption. The Redhakhol NAC (Notified Area Council) has taken charge of its protection and upkeep.

Arrangements have also been made to garland the statue daily as a mark of respect. The ceremony saw the presence of various dignitaries and local representatives including:

  • Tahasildar Prabhat Ranjan Bishwal
  • Bichitrananda Sahu, Lakshman Pradhan, Vasudev Prusty, Mahaveer Singh Deo

  • Councillors Sudhanshu Sekhar Amat, Ishwar Chandra Prusty, Umesh Mishra, Dillip Pradhan, Kshiroda Kholari, Videshi Sahu

Along with many Mahima Dharma devotees and respected community members.

The event reflected the community’s continued devotion to Bhima Bhoi’s legacy of spiritual wisdom and social reform.
