Nabarangpur, April 10: School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond expressed dissatisfaction after reviewing the condition of government schools and hostels in his home district.
He personally inspected the infrastructure and overall condition of Sevashram (SSD) schools, hostels, and other institutions functioning under the School and Mass Education Department. During the visit, the minister interacted with resident students in hostels and held discussions with teachers and staff in charge.
After examining the environment, food preparation, and available facilities, he directed that improvements be made in all areas. He also visited the kitchen to check the quality of food and interacted with girl students to understand their facilities, problems, and awareness about government schemes.
The minister instructed headmasters and hostel superintendents to improve all neglected aspects to create a better academic environment. He also emphasized that administrative officials, including the BDO and District Welfare Officer, should conduct surprise visits to regularly inspect the condition of schools and hostels.
