Nearby villages like Mukulingia, Siriki, and Kurmingia are also experiencing severe cold, though exact temperatures are unmeasured due to lack of monitoring.
For the past 12 days, the region has been battling extreme cold, dense fog, and biting winds. The daytime temperature has remained low, around 24°C, adding to the discomfort. The local Notified Area Council (NAC) has set up a nighttime shelter to support the homeless, and residents are staying indoors to avoid the harsh cold. Cold-related illnesses are rising, with many gathering around bonfires to stay warm. The situation highlights the need for more support for affected communities.
