Government Fails to Address Amala Sangh Employees’ Demands

Malkangiri,20th Aug 2025: Employees of the Rajashwa Amala Sangh in Malkangiri district began a sit-in protest on 11th August. Despite this, the government has not taken any steps to address their demands. According to the union, the authorities are shifting the responsibility onto the employees while highlighting the inconvenience to the public through various media channels.

The union claims that the government is more focused on winning votes from Odisha employees than on resolving their issues. During assembly sessions, ruling and opposition members often engage in heated debates. However, when opposition MLAs raise concerns about salary increases and arrears, the government passes bills in a single day without discussion, ignoring the financial burden on employees.

The employees, who attend the assembly for public service, see the administration enjoying benefits funded by public money, while their own legitimate demands remain unresolved month after month. Whether the Finance Minister or the Chief Minister, the union asserts, the authorities have failed to genuinely serve employees, delaying resolution until they leave office.

The union warns that if the government continues to ignore their demands, employees will respond decisively at the appropriate time. They stress the importance of unity among employees to fight for their rightful claims, rather than each seeking justice individually.

Media representatives were told that it is hoped the government will seriously consider the demands of the employees and resolve the issues of Rajashwa Amala Sangh workers promptly.
