Polasara, Oct 19 [UDN}:A ‘Seva Setu’ camp was organised at the Polasara Panchayat Samiti office in Ganjam district on the occasion of a district-level joint public grievance hearing, with the objective of raising awareness about government welfare schemes and facilitating access to essential public services.
Information, Education and Communication (IEC) stalls set up by various government departments provided information about different government schemes, public welfare initiatives and available services. The camp also facilitated the registration of new beneficiaries to help eligible people access government assistance and benefits.
As part of the programme, ration cards and tricycles were distributed to persons with disabilities to support their essential needs and improve their mobility and independence. Various Self-Help Groups (SHGs) were also provided with government facilities and assistance to strengthen their activities and promote livelihood opportunities.
The initiative aimed to bring government services closer to the people, ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits they are entitled to, and improve public awareness of welfare programmes through direct interaction with departmental officials.
The District Collector, Superintendent of Police, Chief Development Officer of the Zilla Parishad and other concerned officials attended the programme. Their participation highlighted the administration’s focus on public service delivery, grievance redressal and the effective implementation of government welfare schemes at the grassroots level.
