Bhubaneswar, July 10 [UDN}: Resources Development Department are strengthening the rural economy and further enriching the livestock sector. Under the Livestock Prosperity Scheme, incentives are being provided to promote duck farming among rural households.
Eligible beneficiaries are receiving financial assistance for duck rearing along with free ducklings supplied by the government. During the financial year 2026–27, the department aims to include 3,000 new beneficiaries under the scheme, creating a new chapter of success in the livestock sector.
The initiative is expected to generate additional income opportunities for farmers and rural youth while encouraging sustainable livelihood practices across the state.
