Bhubaneswar, Feb 13, 2025: During the Budget Session at the Odisha Legislative Assembly, Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati highlighted the state’s efforts to revive Odia identity through initiatives like the new education policy. He praised the government’s agricultural advancements, including raising the paddy MSP to Rs 800.

The Governor also noted key programs, such as the organic farming mission in the Swabhiman region and the Subhadra scheme benefiting women. He emphasized the goal of a prosperous Odisha by 2036, with 1.36 lakh farmers enrolled in crop insurance.
The Budget Session, running from February 13 to February 21 (Phase 1) and March 7 to April 5 (Phase 2), will culminate with the presentation of the budget by Finance Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on February 17.
