Grand Launch of Sampurnata Abhiyan 2.0 Witnesses Massive Public Response

Nabarangpur, Feb, 12: The launch of Sampurnata Abhiyan 2.0 in the district was held with enthusiasm, excitement, and wide public participation.

The main objective of the campaign is to ensure that government welfare schemes reach the grassroots level and the last person in society, and to achieve 100 percent saturation in the sectors of health, nutrition, sanitation, education, livestock, and social welfare.

On this occasion, a launch ceremony for the successful implementation of Sampurnata Abhiyan 2.0 was held at the local Mission Shakti Convention Hall under the chairmanship of District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain. MLAs Manohar Randhari (Dabugaon) and Gauri Shankar Majhi (Nabarangpur) attended as distinguished guests.
Among others present were Additional District Magistrate (General) Tapan Kumar Khuntia, Chief Development Officer Narayan Darwan, CDMO Dr. Malaya Pradhan, GEO Chhatrapati Sahu, PA ITDA Rajiv Sahu, ADPHO Dr. Malaya Tripathy, DSWO Dupodi Kahar, DIPRO Manoj Behera, BDO Tentulikhunti Manoj Panigrahi, BDO Dabugaon Sameer Kumar Patra, along with other district and block-level officers, CDPOs, health department staff, and media representatives.

At 9:00 AM, an awareness rally began from the statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, with participation from students of various schools, colleges, and nursing colleges, district officials, Piramal and Asha organization staff, and Anganwadi workers. The rally proceeded to the Mission Shakti Convention Hall. The District Collector flagged off the rally. Prior to the rally, he paid floral tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, remembering his ideals of equality, justice, and social empowerment. Floral tributes were also paid to the statue of eminent freedom fighter Mohammad Bali.

Through the rally, messages on TB-free India, institutional delivery, maternal and child health, nutrition services, sanitation, and safe drinking water were disseminated among the public.

Addressing the gathering, the District Collector emphasized ensuring 100 percent achievement of six indicators in the two aspirational blocks—Tentulikhunti and Dabugaon—and five indicators in the aspirational district under the campaign. He directed concerned departmental officers and BDOs to work in coordination to fulfill their responsibilities. He stressed inter-departmental coordination in the areas of maternal and child health, TB eradication, nutrition, livestock vaccination, health, sanitation, and education.

The MLAs of Nabarangpur and Dabugaon highlighted the objectives and importance of Sampurnata Abhiyan 2.0 in their speeches. They called for active cooperation, responsibility, and a positive approach from all to transform the district into a developed one, with special emphasis on accountability at the block level.
The logo of Sampurnata Abhiyan 2.0 was unveiled during the event. A pledge-taking ceremony and signature campaign were also organized, where officials, public representatives, and participants expressed their firm commitment to the campaign.
Stalls were set up by the Health Department, Animal Resources Department, and Social Welfare Department. Guests inaugurated the stalls and informed the public about the services available. Nutrition support food baskets were distributed to TB patients, reflecting the district administration’s commitment to the TB-Free India campaign.
A Sampurnata Rath (awareness vehicle) was also flagged off to spread awareness among the public. The entire program was successfully conducted with the cooperation of the district administration, various departments, public representatives, and partner organizations.

The Chief Development Officer of the Zilla Parishad delivered the vote of thanks. There is widespread hope among the public that Sampurnata Abhiyan 2.0 will prove to be a milestone in the social and economic development of the district.
