Nabarangpur, March, 5: A public grievance hearing camp was held today at the Subhadra Shakti Conference Hall in Umerkote Block under the joint chairmanship of Nabarangpur District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain and Superintendent of Police Madkar Sandeep Sampad.
Among those present at the camp were Chief Development Officer of Zilla Parishad Biranchi Narayan Darwan, Sub-Collector Prakash Kumar Mishra, BDO Manoj Meher, along with other district-level departmental officers.
A total of 30 applicants submitted their grievance petitions at the camp. Of these, 20 were related to individual issues, while 10 concerned village-level and collective problems.
From the Social Security Department, 10 wheelchairs were distributed to identified persons with disabilities. Three persons who had lost limbs due to various reasons were provided with artificial limbs, and measurements were taken for nine other persons with disabilities for the provision of artificial limbs.
Steps were also taken to ensure advanced rehabilitation and medical treatment for those injured or physically challenged due to various reasons. Additionally, 13 patients were referred to specialized medical centers for better treatment and pain management.
